Hello to all grads from that great class of '71!
What a night at Maison Trestler on June 4th! We would like to thank a couple of people for their behind the scenes contributions to the success of the evening.
Bob Lafleur drove from Perth on Saturday, set up all the music, played DJ, took lots of pictures, partied, dismantled everything and then drove home! Thank you Bob! We could not have done it without you!!!
Hani Farag and Georges Abouaccar joined us from The United Arab Emirates and Qatar, respectively. Linda Brown came from BC, Ray Nadeau and Donna Kalil crossed the border from the US, Kevin Heffernan, Karen Cabot, Cathy Pearl, Anne Baxter and Larry Stock all flew in from Alberta.
We had classmates who have not attended any of the previous reunions... so a big thank you for coming to Tommy Aziz, Gary Beauregard, Derek Evans, Kevin Heffernan, Aline Huleva, Bob Lafleur, Cecilia McGrath, Raymond Nadeau, Eileen Nelson, Dennis Schilling, Larry Stock, Susan Thompson, and Richard Wainer. See how fast 40 years can fly by!
Linda Simpson worked her magic with the caterer and bar. Our tummies were well taken care of so thank you Linda! Marilyn More worked on all the name tags and Pat Quinn took care of the Sunday Brunch in Old Montreal. Thanks to the two of you for your time and support.
That brings us to Karen Quinn, Lorraine Street and Michael Cullen, the main organizing committee. The three of us worked on finding lost classmates, the wonderful venue of La Maison Trestler, keeping the communication going and updating everyone, and presenting the wonderful memory videos from the '70s and all the pictures of our kids. Think of the duck swimming on the water... and think of us!
There is a rumour going around at the moment, started by our friends in Alberta, concerning a Western Reunion next time around. To you we pass the Torch (aka the Mailing List) and it's yours to use.
We raised enough money to keep this site going for some time. Please stay tuned for more updates and don't forget to check into the CLASSMATES section (on this web site) and register. Friends can email you so easily from that page. If you want to get in touch with someone who is not registered use the CONTACT page on this site and let us know who you are looking for. We can help...
Thanks again for coming to all of you who made it and we hope to see more first timers out west for the next one.
Thanks for the memories!
Karen, Lorraine and Michael
